I recently was in Logan to attend a family reunion (CHRISTENSEN's
- originally from College Ward) at Bear Lake. On the 4th I
made it a point before we went to the fire works show in Logan to
visit the cemetery and locate the graves of two of my ancestral
families. My great great grandfather Joel RICKS(father of Rick's
College's Thomas Edwin RICKS) and my great grandfather
James Niels CHRISTENSEN who together with his 16 year old son, James Jr. was
killed in an avalanche in 1896. I took pictures and have posted them to my family
web site ( http://www.leuck.net/christensen-ricks_graves.htm ). But after getting
home to Oregon I started to wonder if there wasn't more I could have found to my
family's time in Logan. Particularly, I wonder if the homes these founding families
lived in are still standing. Can you point me towards some groups or individuals who
might know about some of these folks and the homes they lived in?
