"History, Ancestry and Children of James and Agnes Archibald" has been published.  Their family were colliers (coalminers) in Scotland, with many descendants coming to Utah (particularly Wellsville) plus Australia, and New Zealand.

The history is available to read or download for free online.  It includes sources, photos, maps and an appendix with birth, marriage and death records, plus family letters. This history is the result of many years of collaborative research among a few descendants.

This year is the 150th anniversary of LDS Pioneer Elizabeth RUSSELL ARCHIBALD's immigration to Utah.

Many people in Utah and Idaho are descended from Thomas and Elizabeth (RUSSELL) ARCHIBALD.  Thomas ARCHIBALD died in Scotland but Elizabeth RUSSELL ARCHIBALD came to Wellsville with several of her children. Some went to Idaho and some went to Canada.

A family reunion for all descendants of Elizabeth  RUSSELL ARCHIBALD  is being planned for Saturday, Sept 8, 2012 at the Wellsville, Utah bowery by cousin Brandon Sundeen. He is planning games for the younger children, sharing of family history info for the adults, followed by a memorial service at the Wellsville Cemetery.  Food is POT LUCK.  Bring your own lunch and all will share what they bring.

If you have any family heirlooms, photos, letters, etc.. pertaining to Elizabeth  RUSSELL ARCHIBALD or her immediate family, please bring them for viewing.

For more details contact Brandon Sundeen.  Phone: 503-396-2178 OR  email:  brandonsundeen@gmail.com

I would like to contact the family of George Jackson KIDD, who was born at Avon in 1923.  I recently took a Family Finder DNA test through FamilyTreeDNA.  George is my closest relative in the database.  He and I are an 89.73 match.  My mother, Dolores Hollist McARTHUR, was born at Avon in 1915.  I do not know of the connections between the McARTHUR/HOLLIST families and the KIDD family, but would love to share information.   Please contact Lynne Ingalls, Tucson, AZ, lynne.ingalls@comcast.net

Lyda K TRIVETT died July 2011 in a Boise, Idaho hospital with a residence in Meridian, Idaho. She was born 1905 in Essex, New Jersey to Elizabeth TROY and William KENDIG. She was named for Lyda KENDIG who married John TROY.  A brother and sister (TROY) married a sister and brother (KENDIG). I am searching for anyone who knows Lyda, who Mr.  TRIVETT  was, and did they have children? I have a family album and family history to share from the TROYs in Wolfe Island, Frontenac Co, Ontario Canada. Lyda submitted Patrick Elim TROY for baptism in the DC temple thirty years ago, and that is how I learned about her, until I figured out who she was from a 1920 and 1930 census record.   If you can help, please contact Pat at ldsnh85@yahoo.com

I am looking for ancestors (or descendants) of Catherine FOX. Her husband was George HAY;  he came from England but apparently she was Irish. I don't know where they were married but they both died in West Weber Utah. She was born about 1835 but I'm not sure of the county nor the country. Some records show County Cavan, Ireland; other's say Carron, or simply Mt. Pleasant or Caran. Her parents may be John Daniel FOX and Elizabeth BROWN who supposedly came to Utah and then "returned to England?"  Please contact Dave if you can.jdbuckces@yahoo.com or 435-723-3267

A woman named Lida TRIVETT lived in Washington DC thirty years ago, and arranged for a baptism of Patrick Elim TROY (infant). His parents were Patrick and Jane (CROWLEY) TROY. They were from Wolfe Island, in the St Lawrence Seaway, at the mouth of Lake Ontario.  I have never been able to find her and we can't ask the Membership dept to help anymore, not even to forward a letter to her.  Why did she do this baptism? How is she related? Or was her husband's? If you know this family or woman, please contact Pat Troy Demers, ptdemers@gmail.com or ldsnh85@yahoo.com.
