I am looking for any information on this family. John L. SMITH [b. abt 1815 in Massachusetts] and Emily TRACY [b.1821 in Ellisburg, Jefferson, New York] parents of Emily, Joseph TRACY [ b. 1793 in Vermont] and Polly Mary HAVEN [b. 1797 in New York] Joseph TRACY family has been traced through the 1850 Census. [through 1830 lived in New York] [1840 found in Concord, Erie, Pennsylvania] [1850 District 65, Wood Virginia] Both parents are listed as having died 1858 and 1859 respectively in Wood County, Virginia. [no proof] John and Emily SMITH located on the 1840 census in Northeast Twp, Erie, Pennsylvania and in 1850 in District 65, Wood, Virginia. The families of Joseph and Polly TRACY and John and Emily SMITH seem to disappear at this point. Emily has been purported to have died in 1859 in Wood County, Virginia.[no proof] Nothing is known of John L. SMITH [no parents, no marriage record etc.] If anyone can help, please contact me at twladybug09@gmail.com
I have been trying to find some information about a "Nathaniel LeVINUS (1785-
1875)". He was a long time member of a church in Scarsdale, New York. I have seen
his Grave stone and have found him in several census. So far I have not been able to
find names for his wife and children. I'm quite sure that one of his sons, George is a direct ancester of mine. I found him in an 1860 census living with a couple and 4 year old child, maybe this was his daughter and son-in-law. I am looking for some
help or direction as to where I can go from here. Please contact Fred at
flevinus@gmail.com or 480-280-5283.
